Muatiara Burau Bay Resort Langkawi Malaysia
Conceptualised to capture the imagination of holiday-makers, clusters of cabanas are arranged strategically like a little village by the bay around tropical rain forest. Spread over 19 acres of prime beachfront, 150 cabanas are scattered along the natural hilly contours of the landscape offering a panoramic view of the ocean. The atmosphere is relaxed and informal with a back to nature theme.
The resort is situated on the west coast on the island of Langkawi on one of the nicer beachfront sites. It is about 12 km to Langkawi International Airport and 10 km in the same direction, to the second biggest town centre, Padang Matsirat. Airport transfer via coach at RM 16.00 per adult (rtn) and RM 8 for child (rtn). Kuah, the main town, is 30 minutes away by taxi.
Burau is set amongst large gardens and is fronted by a stretch of white sandy beaches with good waters at the foothills of the camel ridged mountain range of Mat Cincang. The 122 standard cabanas are individual stand alone units constructed of steel structures.
The interior is tastefully furnished in pastel draperies. Features include a choice of king or twin beds, dressing table with writing materials, private balcony, air-conditioning, tea/coffee making facilities, mini bar, IDD phone, colour TV with CNBC, BBC and Star, and hair dryer. Bathrooms have instant electric showers but no bath. An extra rollaway mattress can be included. 6 Family Cabanas have all the facilities of the standard cabana but also have a sitting lounge area, two rollaway mattresses can be included. Burau Cabana rooms have two bedrooms and sitting lounge.
