ROYAL LANGKAWI YACHT CLUB
This marina has been transformed by the recent addition of 157 wet berths and the construction of a new breakwater to cut down on wave action caused by ferry traffic. It's in a great location, footsteps from the ferry terminal, a short walk to a shopping mall, and a short taxi ride into Kuah.The marina is suitable for deep-keel yachts, with three-metre depth at low water. Transient yachts are welcomed and staff will assist with clearance formalities. Active club hosts the annual Royal Langkawi Regatta.

REBAK MARINA RESORT
Rebak Marina Resort — 06º17.6'N 99º41.7'E
This beautiful, peaceful marina/resort, carved out of a former mangrove swamp in the centre of its own island, is connected by 15-minute ferry to the main island of Langkawi. It is well protected from the elements. Minimum depth 2.5 metres.There's not a lot to do on Rebak, but in the late afternoon you'll find sailors at the swimming pool, soaking away the day's heat while discussing impellers and delamination. Many sailors have been here for a long time and have formed a close-knit family. Staff is very friendly, befitting a first-class resort.
Electricity to berths is unmetered, so many liveaboards have connected their boats to airconditioning units. The result is you can look across the marina at mid-afternoon and not see a soul, as they are hiding inside their cool boats. Tell someone you don't have aircon and they look at you with pity, as if you can't afford shoes. The marina office can arrange two-year visa extensions for liveaboards. This privilege is available only at Rebak.

TELAGA HARBOUR PARK(Pantai Kok)
The state and national governments have bold plans for the area around this new Mediterranean-style marina in the island's northwest. Their intention is to turn it into Langkawi's second town after Kuah. Now, however, there's the marina, some nearby resorts, and not much else.
The marina project is stunning, its basin dug behind the beach Pantai Kok, from which the marina takes its common local name, two artificial islands act as a breakwater, and a lighthouse marks the entrance. Above looms Langkawi's highest mountain which has a cable-car to the top.
New offices have been built for immigration, customs and harbour master, soon providing a second location on the island for yacht clearance. On a recent visit, construction of marina offices and nearby shophouses was being completed. Space is allocated for Internet and laundry facilities.
The entrance is three metres at lowest tide, suitable for the superyachts that the marina hopes to attract. There are no plans for a hardstand.
